It happened on the 31st of May, solemnity of the Holy Trinity (who is
the saint patron of the community). The program included: Eucharistic
celebration (with a baptism), a shared meal and a talk. The mass was presided by fr. Renato Chiumento (spiritual assistant)
with the intervention of fr. Jorge E. Mwaluko (missionaries of the Most
Precious Blood of Christ) as concelebrant. As to the baptism, the members had
the joy of receiving a new member: Christian
Emanuel Jennings, son of Angelica Jennings, Liberian. After the mass, under the trees the
assistant gave a short teaching on “The
Synod on the Family”, the first phase of which took place last October in
Rome and the second phase will be celebrated this October, always in Rome.
Other
priests and friends marked their presence during the venue: fr. Andrew Dumbuya
(Josephins of Murialdo), fr. Jorge Falcão (OFM), fr. Celso Corbioli (OMI) and
the catechist of the Nigerian contingent, M. Ezequiel.
We had a wonderful time, despite of the absence of the
president of the community, M. Bartholomeu, who went to Nigeria
for treatment.
