The catholic community moves to a new chapel in Bissau

The catholic community, since its beginning in 2007, was meeting at Brá, on the outskirts of Bissau. But, since September last, its members are celebrating the Sunday's mass in a new chapel: Nossa Senhora de Ajuda (Our Lady of Help), in the Ajuda area, which is more central. The new location is more interesting for many reasons: the chapel is little and helps to create a climate of intimacy and family; besides, the local community is little and supporting our activities and even helping in the Sunday’s services. In brief, our members feel much more at home in this new place. They have started decorating the chapel and arranging the yard around the church; they even decided to take a night-guardian to watch the property and have built a toilet. Fr. Manuel, the parish-priest, is enthusiastic about the community and finds that our presence is enriching the parish.
